Curriculum

dsc05974.JPGThe following curriculum is designed for Primary students in an Australian context.

Please find on the right hand side of this page the sub-pages which contain resource links, student work samples, Podcasts for educators as well as student work within different learning areas.

Below is a link to a movie of a morning I spent with “Al Upton and the miniLegends” in Glenelg and they helped me with my Masters ICT assignment by allowing me to interview them. The podcast for this assignment can be found on the ICT subpage.

It is proving difficult to upload such a large file-the original is 13MB but I thought I changed the pixel size…Al Upton can you help with this one?
Please post a comment as it can help others who may have the same problem.
Thanks,
kate

Hi Kate
Your blog is looking wonderful. The miniLegends will get a real buzz out of being mentioned – it’s all part of having an audience … others listening to their voice. Very empowering!
When you talk of pixel size it sounds like you are referring to a graphic. Remember PIXresizer to significantly reduce any picture … doesn’t lose quality and it’s free.

A 13 MB podcast should be stored on a server somewhere – check to see if your site filters it first … you then link to the URL (address)
IE in the editor for posts and pages there is a media icon, click that and past the link in.
Google ‘online storage’ but I’m quite impressed with Box.net
http://www.box.net/ Its free but SA govt sites miss out once again :(
Best wishes, feel free to ask any questions and pass the invitation to the participants of your workshop if you like. Congratulations on dipping your toes in then diving head first,
Cheers Al

Hello Mary,

Thank you for the Methodologies course-very interesting and relevant to our school lives from planning, implementing and reflecting-and of course how we feel about ourselves as educators.

The online learning system I was talking about was http://www.quia.com
I’ll email you the activity I did with my year 4’s in term 1.

Warm Regards,

Kate
