Objective

Welcome to Kate’s educational blog which is a space for teachers, students and parents to share primary student learning. I am a primary teacher living in Adelaide and love continuing my own learning and maximising the positive potential of our digital age.

The aim of this blog is to create a community of learners and a platform for students to share their work, created in conjunction with the teacher (and protected by the teacher) and then shared with their peers and parents. It is also an area that other educators can receive inspiration and contribute to our learning environment.

Students will be able to meet many outcomes in writing, viewing and responding to works that they publish themselves. In doing this they will realise the freedoms and responsibilities in the published word, image and sounds through multimedia expression in all learning areas.

Here is a picture of a bronze sculpture I made called “Tree of Knowledge” which symbolises how our minds like a tree grows towards the light and stands tall and full of many branches of knowledge and ability.
