Year 6MS

Hi boys!

For your Maths homeowrk check out the National Library of Virtual Manipulatives and also the BBC Bitesize website.

I am really impressed with the ideas and work that is coming out of the animated movies for the Virtues project. Harry, Cian and Callan what imaginations you have! You have to make a theme song on with your guitars!

Here is a link to our Quia class page. We can play and design our own games for learning. Have a go of the “Resources” battleship game!

Here is a link to the Bobby Big Foot calculator.
Please look at the blog rules before wriitng any comments.

I really like some of the iGreen shopping advertising campaign designs you have made! Watch this space for examples.

We are about to look at the Virtues Project and do boxing in our class. One half of the class will do boxing with Mrs Pietsch and the other half will study the Virtues project with me and then swap over each Friday. I think it relates really well to our Religious Education Conscience Formation and also Health-expressing our emotions positively.

It was great to meet you yesterday. During your IT time Lewis showed me what he has been doing on Incredibots. Have a look below and make a comment!
Bye for now,

   10. Lewis - July 30, 2009

   12. kateteaching - August 1, 2009

I wouldn’t really pay anyone out here Lewis-maybe you need to have a re-look at the blog rules? Sometimes there is a fine line between humour and making fun of someone at their expense. I think it would be good for us to do “The Virtues Project” ever heard of it? Google it and discover.
Bye for now,

You could write more interesting, positive and thoughtful comment you know-like you do in class as you seem to be pretty good at talking and writing. It is wierd how you treat the comment section almost like texting on a mobile.
Let’s go for a bit of quality OK?
See you all Wednesday and be good for the TRT tomorrow and good luck for the English Competition too if you are doing it.

Me again!

Here’s what the wikipedia has to say about the video -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Lauf_der_Dinge

Could lead to interesting classroom discussions about causation; art; science; and the overlap between all of these!
